THE MAGIC BEGINS: Favorite Character ϟ Severus Snape
“After all this time?”
‘Always,” said Snape.
“‘My lord,’ said a voice, desperate and cracked. He turned: there was Lucius Malfoy sitting in the darkest corner, ragged and still bearing the marks of the punishment he had received after the boy’s last escape. One of his eyes remained closed and puffy, ‘My lord…please…my son…’
‘If your son is dead, Lucius, it is not my fault. He did not come and join me, like the rest of the Slytherins. Perhaps he has decided to befriend Harry Potter?’
‘No—never,’ whispered Malfoy.
‘You must hope not.’
‘Aren’t—aren’t you afraid, my Lord, that Potter might die at another hand but yours?’ asked Malfoy, his voice shaking. ‘Wouldn’t it be…forgive me….more prudent to call off this battle, enter the castle and seek him y—yourself?’
‘Do not pretend, Lucius. You wish the battle to cease so that you can discover what has happened to your son.And I do not need to seek Potter. Before the night is out, Potter will have come to find me.’”

Something I’ve never noticed before:
Snape not only deflects McGonagall’s attack but uses it to take down Alecto and Amycus in a single armwave behind his visual field. Like they both had their wands out too but BOY they did not see that coming. Snape knew that he needed to get rid of them before being driven out of the castle so that they wouldn’t harm any of the students GOD what a badass motherfucker
UGH MY HEART I LOVE YOU

“The dedication of this book is split seven ways: to Neil, to Jessica, to David, to Kenzie, to Di, to Anne…”

The Tom Riddle Chronicles: The School Years
During his time at Hogwarts, Tom was considered a model student by all. The sole exception to this was Dumbledore, who, since their first meeting, kept a close eye on Tom and remained suspicious about his nature. Tom, in turn, despised and feared Dumbledore. He had gathered himself a gang of Slytherins whom he manipulated and used as servants, and spent a lot of his time pouring over old books. Having always been desperate to know about his heritage, Tom began trying to research it with an insatiable hunger. Convinced that the death of his mother was a weakness only muggles should face, Tom became increasingly obsessed with the idea of immortality and soon started to research ways of prolonging life.
